Junior Maintenance TechnicianSummaryThe Junior Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing general production equipment, property, and building maintenance.Responsible for performing highly diversified duties within a production environment to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives.Core CompetenciesCommunicationQuality OrientationTime ManagementAdaptability/ FlexibilityCreative and Innovative ThinkingDecision Making and JudgementPlanning and OrganizingProblem SolvingResult FocusAccountability and DependabilityEthics and IntegrityMediating and NegotiatingProviding ConsultationStaff ManagementEnforcing Laws, Rules and RegulationsMathematical ReasoningJob DutiesResponsible for maintaining, and executing a rigorous Preventative Maintenance program for all the production machines and linesResponsible for maintaining, and executing a rigorous Routine Maintenance program for all the production machines and linesPerform highly diversified duties to install, relocate, and maintain production machines and the facility's general equipmentProvide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production machines and facility equipmentCoordinate with machine and facility contractors to support repairs, inspections, or Preventative MaintenanceAssist in production line setups and configurations, support project for documentation of production line setupsPerform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and additional troubleshootingInterpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and serviceDiagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust equipmentPerform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functionsUse a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing dutiesTroubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain various electrical components, appliances and equipment in accordance with pertinent codes, the preventative maintenance program and departmental procedures.Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.RequirementsHigh school diploma/GED Completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and Maintenance experienceAn AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance a plusAbility to comprehend and communicate detailed instructions orally and in writingExhibit initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadershipKnowledge of 110v up to and including 600v systems and equipment a plusKnowledge of local, provincial and federal workplace compliance regulations, ordinances and legislation a plusStrong communication and problem-solving skillsExcellent time management and project management skillsAbility to work autonomously and with minimal direction.Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all timesStrong working knowledge of Microsoft computer software (e.g. Excel, Word, etc.) and emailFirst Aid skills and/or certificates are considered assetsWork Conditions24/7 availability may be requiredPhysical ability to lift up to 75lbTravel to the site, and off-site locations will be requiredOvertime as requiredHazards associated with the tradeWork both indoors and outdoorsSupplyOne Canada is a leading full-service packaging supplier with locations in Brampton, Toronto, and Collingwood.
