Sourcing Specialist (Supply Chain, Procurement)Our client, a leading logistics company supporting a major organization, is currently seeking a Sourcing Specialist to join their team in Toronto. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a company known for its strong culture and collaborative environment.Were looking for a candidate with hands-on experience in preparing and managing RFPs on behalf of clients, and who can oversee the end-to-end sourcing process with confidence and efficiency.ResponsibilitiesDrive best total value by working with suppliers to ensure synergy with business needs, favourable terms and conditions, risk mitigation, service level agreements that drive continuous improvement and cost managementPartner and influence key cross functional stakeholders to align on the execution of the strategic sourcing and contract processes for goods and servicesDevelop and recommend sourcing strategies that maximize value and mitigate risks for our customersAccountable to identify ways to improve the sourcing and contracts processManage procurement policy compliance while identifying opportunities for improvementLead the strategic sourcing process with key stakeholders and supply chain teamImplement sourcing and vendor relationship management best practicesPerform other duties and tasks as assignedSkills and RequirementsUniversity undergraduate degree in a business-related disciplineProfessional Designation or Certification in Supply Chain ManagementMinimum of 5 years of enterprise level experience in Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain Management and/or ProcurementExperience with Procurement Software (SAP or Ariba Sourcing preferred)Full proficiency with MS Office SuiteValid drivers license for travel between offices and to customer meetings within southern OntarioUtility or regulated industry experience an assetProven track record of successful execution of the RFx process from inception to completion with quantifiable achievementsExcellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skillsStrong decision making, complex problem solving and negotiation skillsAbility to perform under pressure, manage multiple sourcing projects, respond to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAbility to effectively manage constraints and competing prioritiesStrong business acumenAbility to work independently as well as a part of a team
