Job Description: The Machinist Engineer Advisor will play a crucial role in the SHARE project, supporting SMEs to overcome existing barriers and grow their businesses in food production, natural resource products, and other agribusiness value chains. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for developing, integrating, coordinating, and aligning strategic plans that utilize time and resources effectively and efficiently. Your extensive organizational skills will be utilized to ensure the successful implementation of the project''s objectives. The SHARE project aims to support women and youth-led SMEs by matching them with skilled volunteers like yourself who have management and entrepreneurial experience. You will work closely with the project team, including engineers, production personnel, programmers, and other stakeholders to resolve machining or assembly problems and maintain a clean and organized work area. Key responsibilities include: Studying sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces Measuring, marking, and describing dimensions and reference points on material or workpieces as guides for subsequent machining Selecting, aligning, and securing holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines as necessary to machine parts Calculating and setting controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or entering commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media according to established guidelines and procedures To succeed in this role, you will need to possess: 3-8 years of work experience in CNC Lathe Machine, CNC Vertical Milling Machine, and CNC Plasma Cutter Proficiency in software such as AUTO CAD & SOLID WORKS Experience in project management delivery, facilitation, and training Strong intra/interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with the project team Benefits include a modest monthly living allowance, accommodation while in placement, medical health insurance, round-trip airfare and visa/work permit costs, pre-placement training, In-Country Orientation (ICO), and Reintegration Debriefing Support.
