They are second in command to the Store Manager and help the SM to drive the stores overall achievement of their Store targets for all lines of business, (Photo, Video, Rentals).In our stores, ASMs are key holders prime for leading all aspects of service including client care and product care. Responsible for the safety and security of people, loss prevention of products, and perimeter control of the facilities for Vistek. In addition, they assist Store Managers by sharing store level administrative tasks related to inventory management, cash management, and in-store communications.ASMs are expected to keep themselves and their team up to date on policies and procedures, product knowledge and industry knowledge. In accordance with Company Store visual merchandising standards, Assistant Store Managers must ensure that stores are well maintained and display up-to-date offers and in-store elements.PRINCIPAL DUTIES:Contributes to the overall achievement of Store Sales Targets for all lines of business including Photo, Video, Rentals by assisting the Store Manager and their personal sales contribution.Work with the Store team to provide exceptional customer service throughout all stages of the customer life cycle from greeting, informing, selling, or answering customer inquiries to assisting with customer billing or hardware questionsDevelop strategies to maximize store profitability and maintain a high conversion rate of quotes and orders for the entire sales teamLeadershipProvides secondary leadership to the Store Manager and is responsible for the performance of all employees in the absence of the Store Manager.Acting as a manager-in-training, the ASM assists the SM with on-the-floor coaching.Participate in team meetings and on-going training sessions, so to ensure an environment of continuous learning and growth.Where applicable, provides coaching to Sales and Rentals Consultants to retain customers and drive additional store revenue through add-on accessories, warranties, and additional services.Maintains internal two-way communications by employing all business communication tools such as the company intranet, Teams.Leads team in leveraging the omnichannel (chat, walk-in, outreach), to bring value and build relationships with customersMaintains accurate in-store merchandising according to visual standards and current marketing promotionsResponsible for the store look and feel, highlighting featured product and creating a valued customer experienceHelps Store Manager to manage in-store inventoryOperationsAs a key holder ASMs are responsible for opening and/or closing the store at the beginning and end of the day and ensuring loss prevention of physical products, perimeter control of the facilities and providing a safe and threat free environment for staffAdhere to Retail Standard Operating policies, processes, and proceduresEnsures accuracy of all in-store transactions, and cash controls by ensuring adherence to all operations policies and procedures with specific focus on post-sales support (e.g., repairs, returns, loaners)Ensures a high level of store maintenanceand safetyREQUIREMENTS:Retail management experience in a dynamic and fast-paced team environmentCommitment to driving sales performance through proven coaching and training skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsFlexible to workday and weekend shifts, based on business needsComfortable with technology such computers, mobile devices, and digital merchandising5+ years of retail sales or customer service experience and at least 3 years of management experienceFamiliarity with ERP and/or Inventory systemsExperience in CRM and customer outreach tools (Hubspot) an assetUniversity degree/college diploma (especially with a focus on business/management) is an assetProficiency in Microsoft Suite, Monday an assetVistekLTD proudly supports employment equity and diversity and encourages all qualified applicants to apply.
