Apply today!We are looking for several Piping Designers, ideally with Metals or heavy industrial project background, to join us as an hourly employee.Reports to:- Supervisor, Mechanical / PipingResponsibilities:Preparation of and updates to project deliverables including Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Piping & Instrumentation Drawings (P&ID) and pipe isometric drawingsGeneral Arrangement drawings of piping layoutsAbility to independently layout piping and select mechanical equipmentDevelopment of 3D piping models in an integrated CAD environment including pipe supportsChecking of all piping related deliverablesReviewing and commenting on vendor packages as they relate to the piping disciplineParticipating in multi-discipline design reviews and coordinating with those disciplinesAbility to lead and guide a small team of junior to intermediate piping designersEducation and Experience:Must be a graduate from a 3 year Mechanical Engineering Technology Program at an accredited CollegeMinimum 5 years experience focused on piping design in an industrial settingExperience with the Bentley suite of Open Plant tools is an assetCompetencies (knowledge, skill, attributes):Good understanding of engineering and business fundamentals as they apply to engineering problems and projectsAbility to learn quickly and to take on new challengesCollaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillsShows critical and creative thinking and problem solving, and brings forward solutions for our clients' toughest challengesHighly motivated, with a positive attitude and an ability to understand innovationCollaborate on exciting projects to develop innovative solutionsDon't meet every single requirement?
