About this role Job Description: We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our expense management function. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in budgeting and variance analysis, with experience in managing teams and overseeing financial processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing monthly spending reports, consolidating analysis of variance explanations, and validating or clarifying with budget leaders as needed. They will also prepare board materials with relevant analysis of total company spending, lead the annual lunch and learn budget training, and support budget leaders and their assistants in completing the salary model and budget inputs. In addition, the candidate will analyze and report on budget for budget leaders and senior management, support operational accounting of expense-related items, and oversee intercompany accounting and third-party invoicing. Leadership and staff management experience is required, as well as a university degree in business or accounting and designated CPA or equivalent professional accounting designation recognized in Canada.
