About the Job We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Portfolio Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and review of monthly property financial statements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of budgeting, full-cycle accounting, and commercial lease terminology. Additionally, they will possess excellent analytical skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will oversee a portfolio of exciting properties and manage a team of accountants. You will be responsible for: Preparing and reviewing monthly property financial statements Reviewing and compiling property-related financial data for quarterly financial statements and MD&A reporting Liaising with external auditors and responding to audit-related inquiries You will also be responsible for providing leadership and support in preparing the annual operating budget and reviewing budget submissions for assigned properties. Furthermore, you will contribute to the development and analysis of consolidated budget schedules, including variance and trend analysis. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to have: A minimum of 7 years of property accounting experience within commercial or retail real estate At least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role A strong understanding of budgeting, full-cycle accounting, and commercial lease terminology Excellent analytical skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment You will also need to possess advanced Excel skills and proficiency in accounting software such as Yardi, MRI, or JD Edwards.
