Senior Manager, Property Accounting Job Description We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead our property accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property accounting and real estate financial reporting, with 6+ years of progressive accounting experience including 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory capacity. **Job Responsibilities:** - Direct Supervision of Property Accounting Staff: Supervise the day-to-day activities of property accounting staff to ensure efficient operation of all properties under management. - Timely and Accurate Completion of Annual Activities: Responsible for timely and accurate completion of annual activities such as property budgets, cash flow forecasting, final operating cost recovery adjustments, annual property taxes, and property audits. - Timely and Accurate Completion of Monthly Activities: Responsible for timely and accurate completion of monthly activities including month ends, cash flows, and monthly reporting. - Review of Monthly and Annual Property Accounting Activities: Review of monthly and annual property accounting activities to ensure desired results are achieved according to deadlines, GAAP, and client policies/requirements. - Conflict Resolution and Decision Making: Responsible for conflict resolution and decision making when required. - Liaising with Stakeholders: Liaise with property site staff, leasing staff, other members of management and clients to ensure they are receiving responsive service as well as provide assistance and advice as necessary. **Key Qualifications:** - CPA Designation (CA, CGA, CMA) required and in good standing. - Bachelor''s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. - 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory capacity. - Strong background in property accounting and real estate financial reporting. - Proven experience overseeing budgeting, forecasting, operating cost recoveries, audits, and property tax processes. - Demonstrated success in staff development, performance management, and team leadership. **Benefits:** - Salary range: $120,000 - $126,000/year - Opportunity to work with key stakeholders and contribute to dynamic and collaborative work environment. - Leadership opportunity to manage a team and develop skills and knowledge through training and mentorship opportunities.
