About the Opportunity As a Group Controller, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with business units to ensure timely and accurate preparation and review of financial deliverables for quarter/year-end close. Collaborate with various departments to guarantee smooth financial reporting processes. Identify areas for improvement in financial reporting practices and lead the implementation of consistent reporting aligned with corporate requirements. Develop and oversee training programs to enhance financial knowledge across the organization. Regularly review account reconciliations and assess the control environment to support risk management objectives. Support multiple financial integration projects related to newly acquired business units. Analyze financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, focusing on variance analysis, key operating ratios to identify issues, opportunities, and emerging trends for business partners. Evaluate and ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws, including federal, state, and local regulations, and maintain proper documentation to support tax filings. Review and assist in accounting analysis for significant transactions (new acquisitions, business combination accounting, revenue recognition, etc.). Assist in corporate reorganizations (entity changes between groups) as needed, considering changes in process, controls, or day-to-day operations required as a result. Maintain and enhance accounting information systems to improve efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting. Provide critical information to leadership to inform strategic decisions. BUILD STRONG RELATIONSHIPS ACROSS THE BUSINESS. We are seeking an experienced Group Controller who possesses excellent analytical skills, strong leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of financial principles. The ideal candidate will have: A Bachelor''s degree in finance or accounting; a CPA or equivalent certification is strongly preferred. At least 10 years of experience in accounting/finance, with previous controllership experience highly valued. Proficient knowledge of internal controls and accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP), including project/contract accounting. Ability to thrive under pressure, meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Exemplary personal ethics and integrity, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality. Proven ability to improve processes and systems for increased efficiency and productivity. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a willingness to work flexible hours when necessary.
