Job Description

Job Title: Financial Operations Manager About the Role: The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial operations, with experience in managing teams and overseeing complex financial processes. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely execution of financial transactions, as well as maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. Manage a team of finance professionals to achieve organizational goals and objectives. Oversee the end-to-end debt lifecycle, including funding, payments, accounting, reconciliation, and lender reporting. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure operational excellence. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive business growth and improve financial performance. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions, as well as prepare regular forecasting and reforecasting reports. Debt Management: Manage and oversee all debt-related processes, including funding, payments, accounting, reconciliation, and lender reporting. Team Leadership: Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to a team of finance professionals, promoting operational excellence and professional growth. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, as well as maintain accurate records and documentation. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to drive efficiency and effectiveness. Requirements: Professional Accounting Designation (CPA, CA) At least 6+ years of progressive work experience in financial operations or a related field Experience in real estate and capital markets is considered an asset Strong technical understanding of IFRS and US GAAP accounting Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required Benefits: Competitive salary range ($120,000 - $125,000/year) Opportunities for career growth and professional development Collaborative and dynamic work environment Recognition and rewards for outstanding performance About You: Recognized professional accounting designation (CPA, CA) At least 6+ years of progressive work experience with a mix of public accounting and industry experience Managing a finance team for 3+ years Strong technical understanding of IFRS and consolidation, and US GAAP accounting is preferred Experience in accounting and consolidation tools and adaptability to learning new systems; Yardi and/or OneStream preferred Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
