Red Deer Resort & Casino is seeking dedicated and vigilant individuals to join our team as Casino Security. As a Casino Security, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our patrons, team members, and property. If you''re passionate about creating a safe and enjoyable environment for all, we invite you to apply and become a part of our dynamic security team. **Key Responsibilities:** * Monitor and patrol the casino premises to prevent and detect any security breaches or suspicious activities. * Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, including medical emergencies, disturbances, and criminal activities. * Assist guests and team members in a professional and courteous manner, providing assistance and information as needed. * Intervene in disputes or altercations to de-escalate situations and restore order while maintaining a professional demeanor. * Operate and monitor surveillance equipment to ensure the integrity of casino operations. * Collaborate with other security team members and departments to maintain a cohesive security strategy. * Enforce casino policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all patrons. * Complete incident reports and maintain accurate records of security-related activities. * Enforce age restrictions, gaming regulations, and other legal requirements to ensure compliance with Alberta Gaming, Liquor, and Cannabis (AGLC) standards. * Assist in executing evacuation procedures during emergencies and ensure all staff and patrons are accounted for. * Participate in training sessions to enhance your skills and stay up-to-date with security protocols. * Provide additional security during large-scale or high-profile events, ensuring seamless operations. * Assist in training new security personnel on policies, equipment usage, and situational protocols. **Qualifications:** * High school diploma or equivalent. * Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills. * Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations. * Excellent observation and attention to detail. * Proficiency in operating surveillance and security equipment. * Basic computer skills. * Must meet AGLCs requirements **Work Environment** * Walking for long periods of time to cover extended distances throughout the hotel; * Performing repetitive work; * Frequently lifts and or carries up to twenty-five (25) pounds; * Occasionally lifts and or carries up to fifty (50) pounds; * Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills; * Ability to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel, bend at the waist and repeatedly stooping; * Work environment is primarily inside, with the occasional requirement to walk the outside premises of the hotel. * Exposure to varying temperatures, hot to cold, dust, loud noises, and irate guests; * Flooring can be concrete, tile, carpet, cement or gravel when walking outside.
