Position: Production Line Screen Assembler (Manufacturing) Department: Production Reports To: Plant Supervisor & Manager Location: Calgary, AB **Job Summary** Screenco West is seeking enthusiastic individuals with a good work ethic, who are interested in pursuing a career in the manufacturing sector. Screenco is a leading supplier to window and door manufacturers in North America, providing patio door screens, window screens and components for the fenestration industry. As the Saw Operator and production line team member, you are tasked to work collaboratively and perform many different jobs in our factory and warehouse in a safe and efficient manner. **Responsibilities may include some or all of the following:** Cut and punch metal rails to specified lengths for patio door and window screen assembly. Operate double head miter saw, compound miter saw, hydraulic punch machine, roller bending machine, CNC screening machine, pallet jack and various hand tools. Training provided. Regular use of both metric and imperial measurements and basic math skills. Install screen mesh into patio door and window screens using hand tools or automated machinery. Check manufactured screens for defects and conformance to specifications. Maintain daily production logs and other necessary paperwork. Clean and/or organize workspaces or areas of the warehouse. Other window and patio door screen assembly and finishing duties as assigned. Assist in implementing lean manufacturing initiatives to improve production efficiencies. **Relevant Experience & Qualifications:** Production Line and/or Manufacturing experience. Machine operator experience with mechanical aptitude. Machine and equipment maintenance. Good communicator who can follow instructions and ask for clarification. Good manual dexterity and attention to detail. Work overtime as required, either early or late, some weekends. Ability to stand for extended periods and complete repetitive tasks. Ability to bend, crouch and lift items as required, up to 80lbs. Basic computer operating system knowledge. Previous window & door manufacturing experience. Current forklift license and/or previous forklift experience Lean manufacturing experience 5S, Continuous Improvement, Quality Control.
