**The Position** Western Archrib is looking for a dynamic individual for the position of a Timber Finisher. This position will be based at our Sturgeon County facility near Fort Saskatchewan and will report directly to the Production Manager. **About Western Archrib** Western Archrib is the leading manufacturer of glued laminated timber for the construction industry. We have two production facilities to serve the needs of every client. **About the position** Working at Western Archrib, the successful candidate for this full-time position will have a high standard of work ethic, attention to detail, motivated to work at a high level of quality, and ability to work well within a team environment. Valuable assets to this position will include experience in wood working, measuring, cutting, and operate various types of power tools. We will provide job specific training onsite. **Duties**: * Operate a variety of woodworking power tools * Troubleshoot quality control defects in wood beams and repair as required * Maintain quality control, safety standards and safe work practices * Application of laminated wood sealer and other finishing chemicals * Use of overhead cranes on single and multiple crane lifts * Wrapping and unwrapping beams for shipments and rework as required **Preferred Requirements:** * Motivated with excellent time management & problem-solving abilities * Team player with strong interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills * Attention to detail, strong organizational and planning skills * Ability to multitask in and organized manor * Candidates must be physically fit and able to lift to a maximum of 50lbs. * Candidates must have a valid drivers license, reliable transportation, and ability to work 40 hours a week. **Work Location** * 312 Park Rd., Surgeon County, AB **Work Schedule**: * Standard work schedule will be Mon-Fri 6:00am-2:00pm **Compensation:** * Wage will start at $21 to $23.00hr based on level of experience **Benefits:** * Health, dental & vision coverage * RRSP program * Vacation pay **What to expect at Western Archrib:** * Respect: Open and respectful 2-way communication * Cross-Functional Collaboration: We work closely with teams across the organization to drive business success. * Transparency: We share information, provide regular updates, and encourage feedback at all levels.
