We pride ourselves on using high-quality North American raw materials and providing windows that fit perfectly into existing frames for easy installation. **Summary** We are seeking an IT Technician to join our team at Morrison Windows Ltd. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and providing technical support to our staff. Located in Canada, you will play a vital role in maintaining our technological infrastructure and enhancing productivity. **Responsibilities:** **Job duties include but are not limited to:** * Respond to and resolve technical support requests from the team via phone and email. * Provide troubleshooting and support for hardware, software, and network issues, including issues related to network firewalls. * Set up and configure desktops, laptops, and mobile devices and set up user and e-mail accounts. * Installing, configuring, administering and troubleshooting a wide range of desktop hardware and software and ensuring all systems and software are up to date and secure. * Manage and Maintain Software Licensing, Software Administration (Microsoft 365 etc.) * Manage and maintain user access permissions and security policies. * Assist with the management and troubleshooting of peripherals (e.g., printers, scanners, external drives). * Assist with server room hardware management, ensuring proper functionality, security, privacy and maintenance of servers and network equipment. * Ensure the security and integrity of the network, assisting with the configuration and monitoring of network firewalls. * Assist in maintaining and updating IT support documentation and knowledge base. * All other duties assigned by Morrison Windows Ltd. **Our ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:** * Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. * IT or Cloud Certifications will be considered an asset. * 2+ years of experience in a technical support or helpdesk role. Knowledge of IT security practices and policies. * Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite, Google sheets and familiarity with other office productivity tools. * Prior experience in managing peripherals (e.g., printers, monitors, scanners) and maintaining server room hardware. * Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, VLANs etc.) and familiarity with Network Firewalls. * Strong problem-solving abilities and exceptional attention to detail. * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously. * Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality.
