The Role Marco is currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our team for a project based in Prince Edward Island. Reporting to the Project Manager, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Project Manager, Site Superintendents, and Project Coordinator to help manage and support all aspects of construction activities on large-scale projects. Key Responsibilities: Project Coordination & Quality Control: Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with onsite quality control and ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and safety regulations. Foster strong relationships with clients, consultants, architects, and subcontractors. Conduct site visits and support shipping, receiving, and material management. Project Management Support: Assist in preparing progress claims, purchase orders, change orders, cost forecasting, and subcontractor payments. Monitor project costs, schedule updates, and proactively identify risks. Support project documentation, closeout, and warranty processes. Planning & Documentation: Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, digital plans, and deficiencies. Ensure work aligns with the latest drawings, specifications, and LEED requirements. Participate in pre-pour meetings, testing review, and procurement tracking. Contract Administration: Understand and support compliance with contract obligations, insurance, bonding, and labour agreements. Mitigate delays and support claims management. Administrative Support: Set up and manage project documentation in Procore and other systems. Take meeting minutes, track action items, manage project directories, and assist with safety documentation. Support permit applications, site safety start-up, and closeout documentation. Mentorship & Safety: Mentor junior team members on processes and industry best practices. Participate in safety investigations and promote a strong safety culture.
