Companies rely on us to identify, implement, and maintain the technology that drives them forward and know when they do business with CDW, they arent just getting cutting-edge technology solutions, theyre gaining a trusted Data Protection Consultant.What youll doParticipate in customer-facing and internal projects, assisting or leading the technical engineering and operationalization of data protection solutionsArchitect, engineer, and implement partial and / or complete data protection solutions using a variety of assessment tools and technologiesTroubleshoot performance, redundancy, configuration, and incidents to resolutionAssist and / or implement customer change requestsEscalation to the vendor support, when required, to resolve customer concernsCross-train and document new solutions, tools, and practices to team members, to the operations team, and other groupsConduct new product / service evaluations for internal publication to management for possible adoptionStay apprised of new developments in the data protection space; assist in determining how and when those would affect and / or improve our architectureFollow the latest industry trends, practices, and ideas through training, certifications, conferences, and researchPerform documentation work (internal / external) for project compliance and transition to managed servicesWork independently and alongside other consultants to deliver for customersUnderstand the business challenges and impacts of the solutions being deliveredDevelop, templatize and document technical solutions to support standardized and custom service offeringsBe a leader in the full project delivery lifecycleChair internal project kickoff meetings and articulate solution parameters to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersLead the deployment and configuration of large enterprise solutions, ensuring the integrity and security of the solution is maintainedAct as a Point of Contact for customer when investigating and troubleshooting technical issuesOpen support cases with vendors on behalf of customersProvide informal training, technical guidance and knowledge transferTemplatize and create project documentation such as diagrams and configuration as built documentationProactively support and mentor other consultantsParticipate in company, team, and management one on one meetingsComplete administration tasks such as time tracking and status reportingComplete training and certification exams, as requiredWhat we expect of you :Knowledge in IT market trends and technology insight7+ years of IT experience in a systems / network administration related role.5+ years of IT experience with backup and recovery software (e.g. Veeam, Commvault, Cohesity , Rubrik, Dell)In-depth understanding of the capabilities of backup and recoveryTwo or more Certification(s) related to backup and recovery. Equivalent experience will be consideredSpecific implementation experience in areas of backup and recoveryExperience troubleshooting in large, enterprise environments with exposure to formal change control processesThe ability to pass a background check and attain Government of Canada Security ClearanceProfessional demeanor, good communication, strong organizational and time management skillsEagerness to provide positive business outcomes and excellent customer servicesNice-to-havePrevious experience as a consultant or in a customer facing technical / support roleExperience managing, administering, implementing services in large enterprise environmentApplied knowledge and understanding of basic network infrastructure and connectivityCertifications in relevant technologies in networking or disaster recovery products would be an assetWorking experience (or knowledge) with data replication and disaster recovery services such as Zerto, Commvault Live Sync, and Azure Site RecoveryLinux / Unix / Windows / Solaris administration skillsProficiency in virtual and / or storage environments as well as cloud providersKnowledge of backup and recovery software licensing and Vendor of Record programsUnderstanding of Linux and common web servicesKnowledge in languages such as Python and TerraformPay range : $ 113, 000- $ 135, 000, depending on experience and skill setAt CDW, we strive to offer market-competitive total rewards packages to attract and retain talent.
