About this Position Primerica, Inc. (NYSE:PRI) is a financial services company offering term life insurance and investment products to families across North America. The Canadian subsidiary, Primerica Financial Services (Canada) Ltd. Currently has several operating companies including a Life Insurance Company, a Mutual Fund Dealer and a Mutual Fund Manager. We are currently looking for a motivated lawyer to join our team in Mississauga. Responsibilities and QualificationsRequirements:Self-starter with superior organizational, interpersonal and communication skillsLawyer in good standing with Law Society of Ontario;1 - 3 years experience working in financial services; experience with mutual fund manager, dealer and/or life insurance regulation preferredExperience with traditional and digital (online) marketing and advertising regulation would be an asset.Responsibilities include:Marketing and promotional material reviewReview and drafting of contracts, agreements, public facing and internal policies and procedures Review and preparing of investment, regulatory filings and related documentationAssist with Corporate Secretarial duties including the administration and conduct of Board and related Committee meetingsRegulatory risk management, policy development and reviewKeep informed of relevant legal developments as they occur and analyzing their applicability to the companys objectives, as well as keeping Senior Counsel and Senior management abreast.Assist the Compliance department with the review, assessment and application of regulatory provisions and revisions as well as providing support in the preparation for audits performed by internal and external auditors and regulators.Other duties as assigned depending on ongoing operational requirementsThe above responsibilities may vary from greater or lesser degrees depending upon the skill set, experience and education of the successful candidate.
