Job Description We are seeking a skilled Machinist Advisor to join our team in Tanzania. As a key member of our project, you will play a vital role in supporting the growth and development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the region. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in CNC machining, including lathe machine operation, and a strong background in industrial automation and robotics. You will work closely with our local partners to provide technical guidance and support to SMEs, helping them to overcome existing barriers to growth and improve their competitiveness in the market. Key responsibilities include: Developing and implementing strategies to support SMEs in improving their productivity and efficiency; Providing technical training and capacity-building programs to SMEs on CNC machining and related technologies; Collaborating with local stakeholders to identify and address key challenges facing SMEs in the region; Conducting site visits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and develop recommendations for action; In addition to your technical expertise, you will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with local stakeholders and facilitate effective collaboration and knowledge-sharing. Required Skills and Qualifications To be considered for this position, you will need to have the following qualifications and experience: 3-8 years of work experience in CNC lathe machine operation; 4-10 years of work experience in CNC vertical milling machine operation; Competency in CNC lathe and milling machines; Facilitation and training skills, with experience in developing and delivering workshops; Program delivery experience at a managerial level; Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite programs; Competency in software such as AutoCAD & SOLIDWORKS; Experience in project management delivery; You will also need to hold a Bachelor''s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Machinist, or Auto Mechanical, with a focus on industrial automation and robotics.
