Programming and troubleshooting of Panasonic Robots, Allen Bradley PLCs Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization including operators, Management, and customers and suppliers if required. Familiarity with tag out/lock out procedures. Ability to trouble shoot robotic weld cell process and maintenance issues Provide conclusions and/or potential resolutions for approval and implementation. Experience working with ABB and Panasonic equipment. Well versed in the operation and interaction of robots within a cell structure and their component processes including pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical and electronic. Ability to work in a multi-priority paced production environment. Excellent problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent English skills both oral and written. Job Responsibilities Responsible for all equipment in welding dept. to be ready for production prior of each shift. Inform the shift supervisor of any issues with product quality and/or equipment. Perform maintenance/repairs, trouble shooting and programing to various automated weld cells / work cells according to Production Schedules. Perform production job changeover according to schedule professionally and in a timely manner. The changeover procedures include but are not limited to: exchange of welding fixtures, exchange of checking fixtures, organize all paperwork associated with the old and new jobs, provide all necessary tools and organize work cell area, perform part quality validation Assure that FIFO is being followed at all welders/work cells maintain 5S standards Work with Quality Control to test for and resolve quality issues of components.Document results as required. Ensure assembled and welded components meet ABM and customer quality requirements and standards. Perform Poka Yoke testing regularly to protect ABM from potential product quality issues Responsible for equipment and welding fixture conditions.They must be in good working conditions to produce quality products without any failures. All PMs and repairs must be properly documented. Responsible for changeover instructions for all welders and assembly equipment. Ensure that equipment failures are immediately communicated to supervisor and forwarded to maintenance dept. to ensure that affected labor is re-allocated promptly to minimize lost time. Maintain process stability, effective defect monitoring, and welding procedure specifications for new projects. Work towards constant improvement to product quality, process, run rates, and set up times and ensure that successes are documented for Continuous Improvement. Weld settings and any other parameters must be monitored and recorded in a log for every set up and/or for any changes made to the process. This is critical!!! Continuously review product quality during the manufacturing process including visual product inspection, dimensional product inspection and weld penetration.Communicate non conformances to operator and Supervisors immediately.Assess recovery options and in cases where a resolution cannot be met on the floor, forward information to appropriate Management, QA, Production, Tooling, Maintenance. Monitor and train cell operators to ensure adherence to company processes, policies and procedures and ensure that daily production requirements are met. Responsible to follow up on operators performance to check if operators are proceeding their tasks according to training provided. Re-train, if necessary, until the operators are well trained and follow the instructions and have full understanding of job related processes. Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment consistent with company housekeeping policies and the standards and principles of the 5S system, including organizing inspection tables, checking fixtures, welding fixtures, scrap bins, product bin lay out, signs, shadow boards, tools etc. Participate in the development and improvement of current and future welding and robotic parts processing. Interacts with multi-functional departments to ensure that production of parts meet customer specifications Responsible for timely submission of accurate reports, as required by management and for quality, production and inventory control. Adhere to and ensure all obligations and requirements under Sections 25-28 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act are met. Ensure all department team members work in compliance with IATF 16949, S5 and all other company policies and procedures. Always represent ABM with professionalism and integrity. Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all company tooling, processes, methods, customer and supplier information and business. Keep abreast of, informing management about new technologies and methods. Perform other duties as required by Management, including: Running production. Cutting parts for weld penetration analysis. Performing tests to verify weld integrity. Assisting operators in tip change, nozzle cleaning, wire change and etc. Providing and maintaining all necessary tools required for the operator to perform his/her job: cleaning solutions, tips, nozzles, pliers, chisels, brushes, Providing all work cells/welders with reference boundary samples of: good/bad product parts with non- spatter zones assembly pictures or schematics for clear understanding of assembly process Issuing a F/O if required Monitoring the condition of Inspection tables and Work Cells: Cell layout Training records F/O and L/O are correct for the job Lot control, in-process documentation Inspection fixtures condition is good and for the right job Containment bins condition and location Labeling of all items is accurate Inspection tables are in good condition and documentation is accurate Binders used are for the right job and updated Implementing all aspects of 5S methodology Job Type Full-time Permanent 8 Hours Shift Sunday to Thursday Shift Night Experience Minimum 5 years of experience required.
