With over 650 employees manufacturing at sites in Windsor NS and Charlottetown PEI, supporting over 18/20 top pharma and biotech companies and 100+ active clients. Biovectra partners with biopharma and pharmaceutical companies to support the development of clinical or commercial API needs. Reporting to the GM of the Advanced Manufacturing Partnerships Division (AMPD), the Business Unit Leader will lead Biovectras strategic direction, operations, and financial performance. This executive will have operating and budgetary responsibility for 4 key facilities in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. You will be accountable for leading strategy, executing operational goals, delivering profitable revenue growth, and managing a diverse organization. You will be a key member of the AMPD Business Unit executive leadership team (ELT) and will work to advance the Biovectra business plan and establish it as a global leader in pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturing services. This role is onsite and based at our Prince Edward Island site. Key Position Requirements Include Domain knowledge of technologies/science and market dynamics for the Biovectra market, including microbial fermentation, synthetic small molecules (ADC, HPAPI, peptide, LNP, mRNA, pDNA), and client needs. Proven P&L leadership experience in a business or commercial function. Strategic and execution skills; experience managing operating budgets. Experience in developing and executing critical goals for top and bottom-line objectives. Knowledge in managing complex products through development, clinical, and commercialization stages. Senior relationships with organizations and individuals in the industry. Ability to engage and influence senior executives and peers. Leadership skills in developing, retaining, and attracting talent. Based in Charlottetown, PEI. Key Responsibilities P&L responsibility for NS and PEI sites. Define and execute strategies for these locations. Build organizational capabilities and develop leaders and team members. Ensure operational results and financial targets are met. Oversee day-to-day site operations with a hands-on approach. Collaborate with other senior leaders to maintain site compliance and quality. Oversee product development and process onboarding. Drive operational excellence and innovation. Enhance site performance and client satisfaction. Promote company culture and values. Maintain regulatory and compliance standards. Qualifications BSc in a life science field; advanced degrees preferred. 10+ years in senior management roles, ideally in pharma or biotech manufacturing. Experience in global markets and complex project management. Proven success in leading diverse teams and growing revenues. Knowledge of cGMP environment and product lifecycle management. Core Capabilities Financial acumen and strategic planning. Strong influencing and partnering skills. Excellent communication and leadership maturity. Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex environment. This is a full-time role with a salary range of $268,000 - $418,750 CAD plus bonuses, stock, and benefits. Travel is occasional.
