Position Summary:Premier Racquet Clubs is seeking an enthusiastic, organized, certified and experienced Pickleball Coordinator & Coach to lead and grow our pickleball program. This role involves both on-court instruction and off-court coordination of activities. The Pickleball Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of pickleball operations, including programming, staff management, instruction, tournaments, and community engagement. This role is ideal for a dynamic leader passionate about racquet sports, with a special love for pickleball who can build a vibrant, inclusive and competitive program for all ages and skill levels.Key Responsibilities:Program Development & ManagementDesign and implement a full calendar of pickleball programs including clinics, leagues, socials, and private/group lessons.Develop skill-based programs to serve all levels, from beginners to competitive players.Coordinate and host tournaments, round robins, and special events to build engagement.Create seasonal pickleball camps and skills-based progression programs.Instruction & CoachingProvide high-quality pickleball instruction, including private lessons, group clinics, and play programming with an emphasis on increasing the number of participants.Maintain high standards of instruction, player development and customer service across all pickleball programming.Design and run beginner clinics, intermediate workshops and competitive trainingMonitor player progress and provide feedback for improvement.Staff SupervisionRecruit, train, and manage pickleball instructors and work with support staff.Create staff schedules and monitor performance to ensure excellent service.Foster a positive and professional work environment.Membership & Community EngagementPromote pickleball to current and prospective members through outreach, events, and partnerships.Serve as the primary point of contact for pickleball inquiries and player support.Engage members through exceptional customer service and program personalization.Facility Operations & Equipment OversightManage court scheduling and communicate regularly with front desk staff.Ensure courts are properly maintained, safe, and ready for use at all times.Ensure a safe, inclusive and positive environment for all participants.Manage inventory and purchase of pickleball equipment, balls, and accessories.Administrative & FinancialPrepare and manage the pickleball department budget.Track participation, lesson revenue, and event performance for weekly reports.Collaborate with marketing to promote pickleball programming.Qualifications:Proven experience as a pickleball coach, program manager, or similar role.Strong understanding of pickleball rules, strategies, and best practices.Must be certified by Tennis Canada and / or Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR)Prior experience leading teams and managing recreational programs.Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership and organizational skills.Passionate about growing the sport of pickleball and building community.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.CPR/AED and First Aid certification or willing to obtain within 30 days.Preferred Qualifications:College or university degree in Sports Management, Recreation, or a related field.Experience in racquet club or fitness center settings.Event planning or tournament organization experience.Compensation:Competitive compensation package based on certification, experience, and playing level.
