Medical Director, Observation Unit (RDU) The Department of Emergency Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical in New Brunswick is seeking a full-time Emergency Medicine Physician to join Rutgers as a Director for our Observation Unit/Rapid Decision Unit (RDU) . The Director will be responsible for administrative supervision of all medical services performed in the RDU, managing the RDU per organizational and regulatory guidelines, and overseeing all physicians and mid-levels by their job descriptions. This is a great opportunity for an eager physician to join a well-established, multi-disciplinary team alongside a robust support staff, including advanced practice providers and scribes, to deliver high-level care at an academic institution. Responsibilities: Managing and delivering clinical services only in the observation unit. Teaching and supervising physician assistants, nurse practitioners, medical students, and Emergency Medicine residents. Coordinating clinical services. Qualifications: Minimum Education and Experience: 5+ years of clinical experience Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of New Jersey American Board of Emergency Medicine Eligible/Certified Exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong clinical background Previous leadership experience, program development experience, and/or teaching experience is preferred Certifications/Licenses: MD/DO DEA CDS Position Status: Full Time Posting Open Date: 07/26/2024 Posting Close Date: 07/25/2025 All offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of all pre-employment screenings. #J-18808-Ljbffr
