Job Description

Wavefront Centre for Communication Accessibility (Wavefront Centre) acknowledges that its work takes place on the unceded territories of the Swxw7mesh (Squamish) and slilwta (Tsleil-Waututh) Coast Salish First Nations. Wavefront Centre is Canadas leading non-profit dedicated to removing communication barriers for Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing individuals. They also work with businesses and organizations who strive to improve accessibility and break down communication barriers. Through innovative services in Audiology + Hearing Healthcare, Accessibility Services, Community Outreach, and Research, they empower communities to fully participate in society. As a social enterprise, all revenue generated is reinvested into their missionadvancing accessibility, equity, and inclusion for all. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for planning and leading the strategic, operational, and funding objectives required to achieve Wavefront Centres mission and vision, while ensuring adherence to its core values. The CEO has direct oversight of staff leadership, financial viability and growth, as well as the delivery of quality programming and services, including across social enterprise functions. The CEO builds and maintains strong relationships with the Board, staff, clients, consumer groups, the broader community, and external stakeholders. The CEO engages with the sector, community, and government to build organizational capacity and enhance quality, accessible services and programs. This is an on-site leadership position that requires adaptability to shifting priorities, along with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required in support of management responsibilities, events, or strategic initiatives. The salary for this role is $175,000 to $205,000, supplemented by a competitive total compensation package that includes enrollment in the BC Municipal Pension Plan, extended health and wellness benefits, vacation, sick and wellness days, professional development opportunities, and performance-based incentives. #J-18808-Ljbffr
