About this position: Job Description We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our Internal Audit team as a Manager, Investment and Corporate Accounting. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of our internal audit portfolio, from planning and scoping through to reporting. You will regularly interact with key collaborators and senior company employees and leaders to ensure successful project outcomes. Key Responsibilities Support the development and implementation of the annual risk-based audit plan in Canada Collaborate with the Vice President, Internal Audit, and other team members to deliver high-quality audit results Develop and deliver an audit opinion on internal controls through completion of the audit process, including planning, fieldwork, reporting, and follow-up Innovate the ways in which the internal audit team works, operates, and interacts with the business by bringing your internal audit experience, data analytic skills, and background to bear Requirements Education and Qualifications Degree or equivalent experience and professional qualification preferred Professional audit, risk, accounting, or actuarial qualifications or equivalent business experience Experience 8-12 years of internal audit or risk management experience, preferably in insurance or with one of the big-four accounting firms Good knowledge of financial/risk/insurance related topics Experience leading sophisticated projects/reviews, leading small-medium teams, and negotiating issues with management Skills Strong business insight and understanding of critical business issues facing insurance companies Proven strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities along with strong interpersonal skills Experience managing senior-level relationships Experience deploying Data Analytics capabilities, solutions, and innovative internal audit practices What We Offer Flexible work arrangements Part of a collaborative, high-performing team with a strong positive culture Highly competitive and comprehensive compensation package About Us We value diversity and inclusivity in the workplace and encourage women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, members of ethnic minorities, foreign-born residents, and veterans to apply.
