Hematologist and/or Medical Oncologist BC Cancer - Vancouver Centre Regular Full Time: 1.0 FTE Vancouver, BC BC Cancer - Vancouver is the largest treatment facility within BC Cancer and collaborates closely with the BC Cancer Research Institute (BCCRI) and Vancouver General Hospital (VGH). Our department has 32 Medical Oncologists and is known for clinical excellence and academic contributions. Vancouver Cancer Centre offers comprehensive services including radiation oncology, surgical oncology, diagnostic imaging, pathology, oral oncology, supportive care, and inpatient services. We are seeking a Hematologist and/or Medical Oncologist to provide quality cancer care, with experience in managing lymphoid malignancies. Preference will be given to candidates with additional research training or clinical fellowship beyond residency. The role involves treating patients with lymphoid malignancies within the Lymphoma and Myeloma Tumour Group. The successful candidate will support the Vancouver Medical Oncology Program and UBC Medical Oncology Training Program, including teaching postgraduate trainees and medical students, and contributing to the academic productivity of the group. Qualifications include Fellowship in the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine, with a Certificate of Special Competence in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology. Eligibility for licensing with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of BC and credentialing by BC Cancer are required. The candidate must also be eligible for a clinical appointment at UBC and hold a valid medical license in Canada.
