Our mission is to work with children who may have social emotional and behavioural needs in order to support the family unit. The service works specifically with children and families who are deemed to be at risk across the local catchment area. We work directly with parents, children and families in the provision of supports matched to identified needs. We are a holistic service that relies assessment to inform intervention and supports required in collaboration with parents/children and other involved stakeholders which might include, Statutory Services- CAMHS, Primary Care, School Supports. Purpose of post The Deputy Project Director is required to: Provide and support management of the service and all its functions (e.g staffing, day to day operational management, line management and supervision, risk management, Deputy Designated Liaison Person in respect of child protection as well as child safeguarding). Support the Manager and to participate where required in relevant and regular meetings with identified stakeholders in the provision of service (e.g. funders, community groups, interagency partners, clients, working groups, other local and national services) Support the manager to ensure that appropriate process and procedures are in place which provide assurance and accountability to funders and the board of directors with respect to all aspects of the service funding- income- expenditure, staffing, operational etc) Support professional practice within the team ensuring that work carried out is in line with best practice and evidence based. Step into the role of Manager where required. Duties & Responsibilities - The Deputy Manager will be required to: Management: Review and implement internal procedures and processes which ensure the service is operating in accordance to legislative and best practice standards in conjunction with the Manager. Participate in the line management and supervision of all team members in conjunction with the Manager. Support a team culture of transparency, accountability and respect. Support the manager to implement and ensure appropriate risk management procedures are maintained and escalated as required to stakeholders and board directors as required. Support the manager to provide reports, statistics and data as required from funders with respect to work carried out, the activities and performance of the service as well to the board of Directors. Support the Manager in maintaining key stakeholder relationships that supports outcomes for children and families Manage the budget for the service which includes completion of Service Level Agreements, Financial Compliance Forms, donations, seeking out opportunities for strategic partnerships which will support the work and development of the service. Support the manager in providing accurate financial information and records to the board of directors with regard to the service (e.g. restricted/ unrestricted funds) project costs, capital costs, overhead costs etc) Operational/ Staffing: Support the Manager in managing, leading and supporting all employees in the service within their designated role. Support the Manager in providing Training & Development (both mandatory and professional development) and training needs analysis for the service. Ensure records and information is maintained with respect to work carried out by employees. In co-operation with the Manager to address under performance or practice development issues with individual employees through the appropriate process and procedure. Ensure that the service is both efficient and effective in the provision of supports required. Criteria: Business Administration Degree Experience in a relevant applicable Allied Health Profession (Social Care, Youth & Community, Social Work or other profession where CORU registration is required would be an advantage ) Relevant management experience essential for the post. Management qualification would be a distinct advantage. Experience and understanding of relevant legislation and how it applies to the role which includes but is not limited to, Child Protection & Welfare, Child Safeguarding, Health & Safety, Data Protection, Financial and Budget Management, Quality Assurance, Human Resources.
