Your new Role: In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of construction projects, from pre-construction planning through to closeout. You will oversee day-to-day operations, supervise superintendents and foremen, and ensure that all project documentation, contracts, budgets, and schedules are properly managed. You will coordinate procurement activities, negotiate subcontractor agreements, and manage billing, change orders, and financial forecasting. Ensuring compliance with permits, licenses, and safety standards is a key part of the role, as is resolving project disputes and escalating major issues when necessary. You will also lead and develop a team of Project Coordinators and site staff, manage recruitment and performance reviews, and ensure that projects are appropriately staffed and resourced. A strong focus on maintaining positive relationships with clients and internal stakeholders is essential, along with a proactive approach to improving procedures and productivity. What youll need to Succeed: To succeed in this role, you must hold a Journeyperson ticket, with an Engineering Degree or CET designation considered an asset. A minimum of four years experience in construction project management is required. You should possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with the ability to estimate work accurately and understand complex construction concepts. Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and Procore is essential. The role may require travel and time spent on job sites.
