We have implemented a Total Rewards package that includes employer-paid comprehensive extended health and dental coverage, a health spending account, RSP matching, and career development opportunities.The Opportunity: Reporting to the Director Operations, the Operations & Projects Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations at the Big Molly frac sand facility, managing continuous improvement and operational projects. By supporting all facets of exploration, this role ensures operational efficiency, Safety, and compliance while driving long-term performance and profitability.Key Responsibilities: Operations & Project ManagementLead daily mine operations with a focus on safety, efficiency, cost control, and alignment to strategic objectives, addressing issues proactively to maintain performance targetsManage site budgets, operating costs, monthly P&L reporting, and financial accountability while collaborating across departments including Logistics, HSE, Finance, and Corporate LeadershipOversee operational improvement projects and exploration activities from planning through execution, including geological modeling, QA/QC, and resource optimizationDirect site-based environmental management, sustainability initiatives, and ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate standardsManage third-party contractors and project teams while maintaining strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders to support current operations and future opportunitiesLeadershipProvide clear, hands-on leadership to operational teams at all levels while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvementMentor and develop employees from junior to senior levels in safety, operational excellence, and environmental stewardshipPromote a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative work environmentLead by example while driving performance, accountability, and adherence to established processesEmbrace and encourage peer learning and knowledge sharing across the organizationQualifications10+ years of progressive leadership experience in mining, frac sand, aggregates, or related industriesStrong leadership, communication, and analytical skills with a proven track record managing multi-disciplinary teams and large-scale operational projectsDeep understanding of quarry operations, geology, mining best practices, and regulatory complianceFinancial acumen including budget management and cost controlDemonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in all aspects of operations
