If you take pride in upholding CAD and BIM standards, thrive on collaboration, and enjoy being a cornerstone of the technical design process, this could be your next step.What You'll Be DoingConstruction Documentation & Technical DetailingTranslate design sketches into high-quality, fully coordinated construction drawing setsLead the setup and layout of project drawing sheets, including floor plans, elevations, door schedules, and millwork detailsEnsure technical accuracy and adherence to studio CAD/BIM standardsWork closely with senior technologists and designers to maintain alignment across all design documentationConduct drawing quality control checks and resolve inconsistenciesConsultant Coordination & ComplianceCollaborate with architectural, structural, MEP, and specialty consultants to integrate external drawingsAssist in resolving code-related issues in partnership with senior staffMaintain up-to-date working knowledge of the Ontario Building CodeCoordinate deliverables and timelines to support project goals and budgetsTendering & Construction SupportContribute to construction administration tasks including shop drawing reviews, RFIs, site visits, and deficiency reportingParticipate in the tendering process and manage drawing distribution to contractors and consultantsSupport field communications and site documentation in collaboration with the design and technical teamPrepare supplementary instructions, addenda, and project close-out materialsBIM/CAD Studio LeadershipSupport the implementation and enforcement of studio-wide BIM/CAD standardsProvide Autodesk technical support to project teams as neededParticipate in internal committees focused on studio process, documentation excellence, and innovationAssist in maintaining a clean, well-organized, and productive working environmentCommunication & CollaborationWork closely with project managers, designers, and consultants to clarify technical details and resolve challengesTake part in design discussions and provide input on detailing strategiesShare technical knowledge with team members to promote skill development and alignmentAttend consultant and client meetings when requiredWhat You Bring to the TableExperience & Education57 years of experience working on medium to large-scale commercial, hospitality, or residential projectsDiploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Architectural Technician, or a related fieldProven ability to execute and manage construction documentation from start to finishTechnical ProficiencyAdvanced proficiency in AutoCAD is essentialAdvanced experience with Revit is strongly preferredComfortable coordinating with consultants across a variety of disciplinesFamiliarity with plotting, digital file submissions, and drawing management systemsSolid understanding of building systems, construction methods, and detailingSoft Skills & Studio ValuesHighly organized, detail-oriented, and solution-focusedStrong communication and collaboration skillsComfortable navigating fast-paced, high-standard environmentsPositive attitude with a proactive mindsetCommitted to mentoring, knowledge sharing, and supporting studio cultureWhy Youll Love This RoleThis is more than just a technical roleits a chance to help define how design gets built.
