## Job Summary Now, if you were to come on board as our **Scheduler**, wed ask you to do the following for us: - Create weekly/monthly schedules for hourly-unionized staff. - Adjust schedules in response to absences, vacations, and unforeseen staffing shortages, while maintaining compliance with labor laws and union contracts. - Manage punch exceptions (duplicate or missing in/out) daily. - Maintain awareness of union rules regarding work hours, overtime, seniority, and other relevant scheduling guidelines. - Notify union staff of their scheduled shifts and any changes. - Respond to employee inquiries related to shift changes, overtime, and schedule. - Ensure all staff are aware of their rights and responsibilities as outlined in the union agreement concerning their schedules. - Track employee attendance, monitor clock-in/clock-out times, and ensure accurate time reporting. - Ensure timely submission of payroll-related information, such as hours worked, overtime, and leave requests. - Post schedules and notify union staff of their scheduled shifts and any changes. - Review the daily schedule tracker for the previous day and adjust as needed. - Enter and post schedules in EPay and submit timesheets weekly. Heres how well know you will be successful: - High school graduation diploma - Demonstrates excellent communication skills. - Excellent time management skills - Previous experience in staffing/scheduling Knowledge in Epay an asset - Computer skills required (Word/Excel), Outlook - Excellent command of the English language (written and verbal) - Demonstrates strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities. - Must be capable of working independently. - Understanding of CUPE Collective Agreement related to scheduling and replacement rules in a hospital environment.
