Come join our sweet team as a Junior Packaging Specialist (PM)! **Why You''ll Love Working Here:** * Competitive Health, Dental & Vision Benefits (100% employer paid) * RRSP Matching Program * 3 Weeks'' Annual Vacation * Anniversary Paid Day Off * Personal Development/Education Fund * Fitness Reimbursement * Safety Shoe Reimbursement * Employee Referral Bonus * Employee Assistance Program (EAP) * Employee Rewards and Recognition Programs: Programs that recognize and reward employee achievements and contributions. * Community Engagement: Opportunities to participate in community service and corporate social responsibility initiatives. * Inclusive Workplace: An inclusive and diverse workplace where all employees are valued and respected. * Sustainability Commitment: Work for a company committed to sustainability and making a positive impact on the environment. **Hours:** 5:15pm - 2:30am (flexibility as needed), Monday - Friday, Weekends as needed **Hourly Rate:** $19.72 **What You''ll Be Doing:** * Verify specifications on beginning of runs and conduct periodic checks throughout the shift using proper documentation. * Ensure food safety compliance and specified quality parameters are met in each run. * Ensure line and area paperwork is completed accurately. * Ensure food and personal safety hazards are corrected quickly and effectively to meet company and legislative requirements. * Prompt resolution and follow through on issues and escalate when required. * Operate cartoner layouts. * Able to operate shrink wrap and flow wrap and troubleshoot minor issues. * Able to complete a metal detector or Xray check. * Understands how to setup data code on the cartoner. * Able to print outer labels. * Able to run various Packaging lines. * Able to complete a changeover with minimal support. * Able to complete Skid Pulling. * Able to train other Junior Packaging Specialists on basics. * Able to train General Labourers on tasks. * Other tasks as assigned. **What We''re Looking For:** * High School Diploma or equivalent. * 1-3 years of Food Manufacturing experience. **Bonus Points If You Have:** * Dessert Manufacturing Facility experience. * Strong BRC (or similar GFSI) knowledge and experience. * Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, OHSA.
