Location: Guelph On Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite Contract Schedule: MondayFriday, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM, with on-call Leading commercial real estate company seeking a skilled and dependable Onsite Building Operator. This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and efficient functioning of a Class A commercial office property, ensuring tenant satisfaction and building system reliability. Key Responsibilities: Operate, monitor, and maintain building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and systems. Respond promptly to tenant service requests and building emergencies. Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and building code standards. Collaborate with property management, security, and vendors to ensure seamless building operations. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs. Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in commercial building operations or facilities maintenance. Technical knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems (BAS/BMS familiarity preferred). Relevant licenses or certifications (e.g., Building Operator Certification, 4th/5th Class Power Engineer, HVAC Certification) are an asset. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and under pressure.
