Job Title A HVAC technician apprentice position is available at our company. About the Role This role involves assisting experienced technicians in installing and repairing environmental control systems. You will work directly with customers, vendors, and coworkers to establish positive relationships through effective communication. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance, inspections, site surveys, and service requests. This includes replacing or modifying equipment or systems as needed or requested by customers. You will also be involved in end-to-end testing, starting up, commissioning, and servicing on assigned projects. Represents the company by serving as the direct customer contact and responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects. Coordinates with supervising field technician/project manager and customer to precisely understand requirements for all on-site installation and repairs. Diagnoses and repairs units using cutting edge software and technology, along with a variety of hand-tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications. Maintains safety standards and security and accountability of company issued and procured assets by recording use, wear and conditions. Requirements A High School Diploma or equivalent, or certificate of completion from an accredited technical school is required. Preferred but not mandatory to have 2 plus years of experience in HVAC, Technical School or formal training. Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with handheld computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad) is required. Must possess a valid driver''s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations. Preferred but not mandatory to have a previous Red Seal Trade Qualification. Work Environment This role may involve exposure to variable weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, heights, risk of electrical shock, noisy operating equipment and other variable environmental conditions based on location. The physical demands of this role require regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, kneeling and climbing ladders. It requires employees to regularly lift and or move up to 10 lbs. and frequently lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.
