Job Description

As a member of the manufacturing team, the CNC Machine Operator is responsible for the operation of the CNC Lathes and 3 to 5 axis CNC Mills. The Machinist ensures the accuracy and consistency of the parts they are manufacturing, confirms machined parts are compatible to mating parts, and may assist with setups from time to time. The Machine Operator is responsible for the cleanliness of their individual workstation while also working together as a team to maintain a positive and collaborative working environment. The nature of this position can be quite repetitive, so the successful applicant must be able to stay focused and diligent in a production environment. **Key Accountabilities** * Attentive operation of CNC Lathes and 3 to 5 axis CNC Mills * May assist with set up and set down of various jobs with supervision * Produce precise and consistent parts * Use a variety of measuring equipment to ensure accurate, consistent parts are made. * Observe drawing dimensions, asking questions as needed. * Actively participate in the maintenance of a clean working environment * Report any damaged tools or machine incidents immediately * Responsible for detailed completion of all required paperwork * Report any material shortages * Maintain a positive work ethic, supporting other members of the manufacturing team when possible **Requirements** * Must be a team player with excellent people skills * Must be able to work in a machine shop setting, on your feet for an extended period of time * Honesty, reliability, and attention to detail * Self-motivated, responsible, well organized and reliable * Strong programming skills * Two years minimum of CNC Machining Experience would be preferred * Currently resides in BC, Canada Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $27.00-$35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: * Company events * Dental care * Discounted or free food * Extended health care * On-site parking * RRSP match * Vision care Schedule: * 10 hour shift Ability to commute/relocate: * Abbotsford, BC V2S7P1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Experience: * CNC Machinist: 2 years (preferred) Work Location: In person
