Overview We seek enthusiastic candidates with an interest in developing subspecialty neurology services in one of three areas: Epilepsy, Headache and Cognitive Neurology. This will complement the current Stroke, MS, Movement Disorders, Neurophysiology and Neuro-Ophthalmology Services. Candidates will participate in inpatient and outpatient-based care while finding a balance of work and life possible in this dynamic and growing community. Opportunities to provide medical education with university affiliation are part of this engaging practice environment. ''> The successful candidate will hold Royal College certification, be eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC, and demonstrate commitment to providing community-based stroke care. Location Nanaimo is a growing, family-oriented community situated on the east coast of Vancouver Island. Year-round access to exceptional recreation opportunities, including skiing at Mount Washington Ski Resort, is available. FRCPC Neurology Full licensure with the CPSBC Benefits Academic affiliation with the University of British Columbia (UBC) and the Island Medical School postgraduate and undergraduate programs is available. Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (315 acute care beds) provides services to an immediate population of 125,000 and a secondary referral population of well over 350,000.
