Job Description

Salary : $56.34 / h + Vehicle Allowance + Phone Allowance + Local 280 Benefits & Pension Plan. Evergreen Sheet Metal (2018) has operated in the BC Lower Mainland HVAC and Sheet Metal Industry for over 15 years. We have recently joined the Local 280 union and we are looking for a hardworking professional to join our team as a Foreman Level A at our High Rise project in Coquitlam. This is a 3-year, 3-tower, pool and amenities project that will start in January 2025. This position is a union role with Local 280, the successful candidate will need to be a current member of Local 280 or contact the union hall to register as a member. We offer : Respectful work environment Long-term, full-time employment on exciting new residential and commercial projects Specifically, the Foreman Level A will : Provide on-site coordination for all phases of the project, including coordinating subcontractors, materials and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. Reporting to the Project Manager & Construction Manager, the Foreman Level A is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating and directing all aspects of the project installation, by : Leading by example; working alongside, supervising and directing the site team Developing short-term and long-term schedules in collaboration with the Project Manager & Construction Manager Planning and scheduling tasks for the Foreman Level B and Journeypeople Establishing standard site work hours Helping eliminate job site clutter and overordering In Partnership with the Project Manager, developing a strong understanding of the project scope, reviewing documentation for consistency and issuing RFIs as required In Partnership with the Project Manager & Construction Manager, developing and enforcing the project-specific health and safety policy In Partnership with the Project Manager, developing and enforcing the project-specific QAQC program Ordering of materials and equipment to suit the site installation Directing and monitoring sub-trade works to ensure the installation is in line with the project documents Monitoring and reporting on-site installation to ensure activities are in line with the project schedule, adjusting the team and / or tasks as required Performing other duties as required Having a strong understanding of the project specifications Having a basic understanding of the contract requirements Skills & Requirements Able to lead by example Strong interpersonal skills Able to multi-task and prioritize Detail-oriented Extremely Organized Pro-active and reliable Able to self-manage continuous learning and skill development Proficient with modern technologies Team player (ability to maintain good working relationships with other personnel, including ESM employees, contractors, sub-trades, and others) Strong work ethic Deadline-driven Must be approachable Must have strong problem-solving skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Must be legally entitled to work in Canada Must have Canadian experience as a Foreman in the SM industry Able to identify deficient work and provide resolution Able to readBlueprints, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction and ID drawings Must beable to take directions Education & Experience A minimum of 10 years in the construction industry Red Seal Certified Proficient in Microsoft Office products Familiarity with AutoDesk and Trimble products is considered an asset A minimum 5 years as a Foreman Able to maintain good working relationships with personnel of other departments Able to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and orally Formal training in construction management would be an asset The ability to use Bluebeam, AutoDesk products and / or NavisWorks would be an asset Able to adapt to new systems as they come into practice Work Conditions This is a full-time position Overtime as required Walking through uneven grounds on construction sites Navigating around obstacles on construction sites Who are you?
