Direct message the job poster from Centrilogic Talent Acquisition Manager - HR at Centrilogic Network Engineer (LAN, Security & Wireless Infrastructure) Purpose The Network Engineer (NE) is a key member of Centrilogics international technology team, responsible for supporting both customers and internal users. The goal is to ensure 24x7 service availability by proactively preventing issues related to hardware, connectivity, or security vulnerabilities. The NE supports, secures, troubleshoots, and optimizes LAN, WLAN, NAC, routing, switching, and firewall infrastructures across client and internal environments. Focus areas include Aruba LAN switching, Aruba wireless access points, Aruba Central cloud management, and ClearPass Policy Manager. The role also involves managing firewall security (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco) and routing/switching infrastructure (Cisco, Juniper). The NE handles escalated tickets, deployment projects, system upgrades, network design, documentation, and process improvements. Participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation for technical support is required. This position reports to the Manager, Network Service Delivery, and supports Centrilogics Greater Toronto Area (GTA) locations as needed. Duties and Responsibilities Design, deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Aruba LAN switching and wireless environments, including Aruba Central cloud onboarding and management. Administer and optimize ClearPass for network access control (RADIUS, TACACS+, profiling, guest onboarding). Install, configure, and manage firewall infrastructure (FortiGate, Palo Alto NGFWs, Cisco ASA/Firepower). Support and configure routing and switching environments using Cisco (IOS/IOS-XR/IOS-XE) and Juniper (Junos). Perform proactive network monitoring, capacity planning, firmware management, and fault investigation. Implement security best practices across switching, wireless, and perimeter firewall infrastructure. Plan and coordinate network changes with customers, ensuring minimal disruption and compliance with Change Management procedures. Provide detailed network documentation, diagrams, SOPs, and knowledge base articles. Participate in the 24x7 on-call rotation supporting critical incidents, upgrades, and deployments. Work outside regular hours as needed for critical incidents, upgrades, and maintenance. Stay current with evolving technologies and recommend improvements for managed network services. Required Experience and Skills University degree or College diploma in Networking, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field. 7+ years of hands-on experience in technical support or network engineering for medium to large networks. Expertise in Aruba switching, wireless infrastructures (CX/OS, Instant APs), and ClearPass. Experience with Aruba Central for cloud management. Solid background in firewall security (FortiGate, Palo Alto, Cisco). Knowledge of routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, STP, VLANs, VRRP, HSRP). Experience with Cisco (IOS, IOS-XE, IOS-XR) and Juniper (Junos) platforms. Strong packet troubleshooting skills, using Wireshark or similar tools. Familiarity with ITSM/ITIL is an asset. Ability to work independently and in teams in a dynamic environment. Excellent communication skills. Willingness to participate in after-hours on-call rotations.
