About The Role Senior Youth Justice Officer Level 5 ($105,167-$114,938) The Youth Justice Services Division is responsible for the safety, security and rehabilitation of young people both in the community and custody. Its core objective is to reduce reoffending among young people through: programs and services for young people on orders in the community and programs and services in custody; services to divert young people away from the criminal justice system. The Senior Youth Justice Officer is responsible for providing services for young people that are in alignment with those mandated under the Young Offenders Act 1994 . Youth Justice Officer Level 4 ($95,782-$100,526) The Youth Justice Services Division is responsible for the safety, security and rehabilitation of young people both in the community and custody. Its core objective is to reduce reoffending among young people through: programs and services for young people on orders in the community and programs and services in custody; services to divert young people away from the criminal justice system. The Youth Justice Officer is responsible for providing services for young people that are in alignment with those mandated under the Young Offenders Act 1994 . Administration Officer Level 3 ($86,439-$92,795) The Youth Justice Services Division is responsible for the safety, security and rehabilitation of young people both in the community and custody. The Administration Officer is responsible for the provision of administration and resource management support to the Centre and for the effective co-ordination and supervision of administration services within the region. The role involves preparation of the Centre budget, in conjunction with the Manager, monitoring of expenditure and responsibility for a broad range of human, financial and physical resource functions. The position is also responsible for the monitoring of document and IT standards and the provision of some IT training and support. Eligibility WWC positions In accordance with the National Child Safety Principles, people who work directly with children and young people, you must have a current Working with Children Check or be able to successfully apply for one to be eligible for appointment to this position. Regional Locations - Travel may be required to be undertaken so there is a requirement for Youth Justice Officers to drive vehicles (including 4WD) with manual transmissions and as such, a current manual drivers licence (class C) must be held when working across the State. There may also be a requirement to travel via airplane including light aircraft. All employees are required to undergo employment screening, which includes a National Criminal History Check and other checks that may be relevant to the position requirements.
