Job Description

The application system specialist role will work closely with operations on creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting applications. These applications can include Microsoft Excel, Smartsheet, and Warehouse Management Systems. This role requires advanced knowledge of SQL / Database language and structure. It is highly autonomous, requiring the applicant to manage time and tasks independently. The role also demands creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and team-building skills to deliver projects and requests. Responsibilities Create SQL spreadsheets and databases using Excel, PowerBI, and other application tools. Maintain advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerBI). Assist with user setup, password resets, location setup, and other warehousing needs. Support IT and Maintenance with operational sorter issues involving trays, chutes, scanners, and systems. Serve as the point of contact for all WMS and WCS system issues, working with vendors to resolve them. Troubleshoot and resolve WMS operational system issues such as order, RF, picking, packing, and location issues. Research RF and barcode issues to determine root causes. Create and update SOPs as needed. Assist in testing system modifications and walkthroughs prior to installation. Document all system changes. Audit item profiles and on-hand inventory. Perform special projects and client requests. Analyze operational data upon request. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager. Follow all safety guidelines and perform duties safely and carefully. Qualifications Associate Degree or Certification in Application/Systems (or equivalent on-the-job experience), preferably with databases and SQL knowledge. Proficiency in MS Office Suite. Initiative and willingness to take on increased responsibilities. Ability to seek and offer help when needed. Dependability: follow instructions, respond to management, keep commitments, and work required overtime. Motivation: set and achieve challenging goals. Knowledge of department processes and SOPs, systems acumen. Attention to detail. Ability to hear and understand verbal instructions. Capability to walk or stand for extended periods.
