APP - Neurosurgery Tumor/Functional/Spine - Nightshift Join to apply for the APP - Neurosurgery Tumor/Functional/Spine - Nightshift role at Vanderbilt University Medical Center Job Summary The Surgical Nurse Practitioner (NP) collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to provide healthcare in ambulatory and acute settings, managing surgical patients across pre-operative, peri-operative, and post-operative phases. The NP holds didactic education, clinical competency, and national certification in their specialty, demonstrating medical knowledge, clinical judgment, professionalism, and commitment to professional development. Responsibilities Obtain and document health histories; perform physical exams; develop care plans. Provide healthcare services for primary, acute, and complex patient care, managing overall patient outcomes. Order, perform, interpret, and collect diagnostic data. Formulate differential diagnoses and treat acute and chronic conditions. Prescribe pharmacologic, non-pharmacologic, and surgical interventions. Follow evidence-based protocols; facilitate referrals and consultations. Support patient transitions between care settings. Requirements TN license as Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) / Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) / Physician Assistant (PA) Position Details Full-Time, Night shifts 3-13 hour shifts weekly, rotating weekends Inpatient coverage; No OR time Department & Program Vanderbilt Neurosurgery provides comprehensive care for neurological conditions, employing a multidisciplinary approach to optimize patient outcomes.
