Job Details Location: 40684 Talbot Line, St. Thomas, ON N5P 3T2 Employment Type: Full-Time, 12-month contract Estimated Start Date: May 1, 2020 Responsibilities Operate machinery to fabricate parts and products Complete reports on product inspection Affix seals or tags to approved products Sand, trim, grind, or clean products into final form using hand tools Build vinyl windows and patio doors Cut vinyl, frames, drop in glass, and affix hardware Clean, inspect, wrap, and ship products Return defective products for repair or recycling Check manufactured items for defects and conformance to specifications Load, feed, or place materials into machines Screw, clip, glue, bond, weld, or assemble parts and components Cut, shape, and fit materials to form parts and components Maintain a clean work area Change machinery attachments Monitor machine during operation Requirements No formal education required Experience as a manufacturing laborer or in construction is an asset Training will be provided Work Conditions Handling heavy loads Manual dexterity Overtime may be required Physically demanding tasks Standing for extended periods Repetitive tasks Compensation & Benefits Hourly wage: $17.00 - $18.00 40-48 hours per week Tools and protective equipment provided Transportation assistance if needed Support in finding accommodation Schedule Rotational shifts starting at 7 am, 3:45 pm, or 11 pm, with potential overtime including 9-hour days and Saturday shifts.
