Successful candidates will be required to report and work onsite from the Ottawa office at least two (2) days per week. What you will do As a Policy Analyst, you will contribute to the development of policy, corporate strategy, and international relations, by creating products such as briefing material, analyses, discussion documents, and project plans, using a range of inputs and in liaison with internal and external stakeholders. These products will be aimed, in general, to inform sound decision-making on the optimal development of the social sciences and humanities in Canada and internationally. What you need to succeed Education There is a minimum requirement of an undergraduate degree from a recognized university or equivalent. A graduate degree in any discipline, or training in public administration would be an asset. Experience* in providing briefings, advice and support to senior management Experience in the coordination and facilitation of projects, consultations, working groups or task forces Experience in qualitative and quantitative research, synthesis and analysis to inform decision making Experience in policy issues related to science, technology and innovation policy, such as: international relations; equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility; open access and research data management; research assessment; bibliometrics; research impact; research infrastructure; research skills and training; research security; research ethics; Indigenous research; or other. *Experience is equivalent to 1 year or more of related work experience.
