Overview: The Bilingual Program and Community Engagement Lead will be responsible for managing the day-to-day implementation and delivery of Black Womens Institute for Healths (BWIH) programs. This includes oversight of Voices Unheard, Mothering Minds, Healing Pathways, the Empowering Legal Support for Black Women (ELSBW), BWIHs Mentorship program and other health and legal programming. The role requires bilingual proficiency in English and French to ensure accessibility and culturally relevant support for Francophone Black women and girls, particularly in rural and underserved communities. This position is part of the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program, which has specific eligibility criteria. Key Responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day delivery and implementation of programs, including: Voices Unheard: A national survey on the health, social, and mental health experiences of Black women and girls in Canada. Mothering Minds: Mental health and wellness support for Black mothers. Healing Pathways: Free, accessible, culturally safe mental health therapy for Black communities aged 12 and up. Empowering Legal Support for Black Women (ELSBW): Legal education, advocacy, and community-based supports for Black women, including Francophone women in rural areas. Equity in Action: Programs addressing gender-based violence prevention and holistic wellness. Other health and legal initiatives that respond to community needs. Ensure program delivery is accessible, culturally relevant, and meets community-identified priorities in both English and French. Supervise program staff and volunteers involved in program delivery, ensuring a collaborative, trauma-informed, and culturally safe environment. Build and maintain strong relationships with participants, communities, and partner organizations to support effective program delivery and meaningful community engagement. Coordinate data collection and impact evaluation for each program, ensuring that the voices and experiences of Black women and girls are at the forefront of evaluation efforts. Work closely with the Director of Programs to ensure programs meet their KPIs, deliverables, and broader organizational goals. Understand grant agreements and ensure that program activities meet funder deliverables and timelines. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in programming based on community feedback and data. Support organizational reporting and accountability processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with BWIHs mission and values. Represent BWIH at community events, partnership meetings, and advocacy spaces as needed. Bilingual proficiency in English and French is required. Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills. Experience supervising staff or volunteers in a collaborative, trauma-informed environment. Familiarity with data collection and evaluation processes that centre community voice. Proficiency with digital tools (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, project management platforms). Lived experience as a Black woman or Black community member is an asset.
