Preparing and producing project documentation, such as Client Requirements Documents, Feasibility Studies, Proposals, and Business Cases, on behalf of Mission Program Office staff, clients, and stakeholders. Editing significant technical documents before their formal issue/submission to the Board, ERT, and AECL. Writing, editing and proofreading MPO-related documentation. Coordinating and championing the timely review and comment process in ATOM. Convening and chairing review and comment sessions to expedite document release and issuance. Making revisions as needed based on comments and follow-up discussions to finalize the document for approval and release Producing or arranging for illustrations, charts, and photographs to be included in the performance reporting documentation. Ensuring all project assurance-related documents are developed and produced on time, are of a consistent high quality (i.e., grammatically and technically correct and consistent) and meet the overall requirements of CNL. Maintaining Records and files of work and revisions as per CNL standards & procedures - ensuring accurate version control. Preparing reports for ERM management for monthly tracking and reporting of progress. Meeting with facility subject matter experts to discuss and review document requirements and material to be revised/updated or developed for release, provides advice on writing issues and coordinates their input. Working with several departments in the development and implementation of a plan for updating and addressing deficiencies with ERMs operations-related procedures and documentation. Working effectively with the ERM MPO management team and the Change Management Lead to identify communication gaps between them and then developing approved strategies to address them. What we are looking for: Education University degree and/or college diploma in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Business/Commerce, Public Relations and/or Journalism, or a related field. Experience A minimum of 5 years of experience in a communications environment, or equivalent combination of education and related experience. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Superior oral and written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for a wide range of audiences. Proven ability to organize and distill ideas for target audiences, to produce clear and succinct reports and procedures, to deliver dynamic presentations, and to form and nurture relationships with staff, peers, customers and stakeholders. Must be a good listener. Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating clear, accurate, and accessible documentation. Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the companys practices, policies, and procedures especially those directly related to document creation, review, and management. Proven ability to communicate effectively and to form and nurture relationships with staff members, management peers, senior management, clients, suppliers, and key contacts in service and oversight functions. Must be able to nurture and maintain good working relationships. Sound knowledge of functional processes related to document management (e.g. engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning). Proficiency with MS Office applications, graphic software packages, desktop publishing tools, and project management applications. Strong planning and priority management skills. Able to manage high volumes of documentation within an allowable timeframe, delegate responsibilities, and hold others accountable for results. Ability to work independently, with little supervision, and in cross-functional teams. Effective problem-solver with a results-oriented approach and an ability to motivate others. Knowledge of the Document Lifecycle Security Clearance Eligibility Required Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom.
