**Job Title: Inventory Analyst Agricultural Inputs** **Location: Yarrow Warehouse & Abbotsford Warehouse (Ability to commute between both)** **Reports To: Distribution and Logistics Manager** **Department: Supply Chain Operations** **Job Summary:** The Inventory Analyst is detail oriented and able to oversee inventory management of agricultural inputsincluding chemicals, fertilizers, and seedacross our multi-branch distribution network. This role plays a critical part in ensuring regulatory compliance, product availability for TerraLink customers, and operational efficiency. A strong understanding of AWSA warehousing requirements and seasonal agricultural dynamics is essential. **Key Responsibilities:** Inventory Monitoring & Control Support Regional management in tracking and managing inventory levels of agricultural products across TerraLink warehouses in the Lower Mainland, Interior BC, Alberta and the US. Ensure regular cycle counts and full inventory reconciliations are completed to maintain system accuracy. Monitor systems for proper lot tracking, batch traceability, and expiry management, particularly for regulated products. AWSA Compliance & Safety Ensure inventory practices meet AWSA (Agricultural Warehousing Standards Association) warehousing and handling standards for ag chemicals. Support the local warehouses and regional management with audits and assist with third-party inspections to ensure AWSA certification requirements are upheld. Coordinate with the warehouse teams to maintain safe storage, segregation, spill containment, and labeling protocols in line with AWSA and provincial regulations. Assist in maintaining required documentation, such as SDSs, chemical manifests, and inspection logs. Forecasting & Seasonal Planning Support the Regional Managers with analyzing historical data, crop cycles, and market trends to forecast demand and inventory levels for seed, fertilizer, and chemicals. Plan inventory to align with key agricultural windows (e.g., pre-planting, in-season application, post-harvest). Collaborate with procurement and agronomy teams to align replenishment programs with grower demand and supplier lead times. Inventory Optimization Monitor and recommend inter-branch transfers to rebalance inventory and reduce surplus or aging stock. Identify slow-moving or obsolete products and work with sales or vendor partners on liquidation strategies. Optimize inventory turnover while maintaining product availability and service levels. Reporting & Analytics Work with the Business Systems Analyst to generate regular inventory reports on availability, turnover, excess/obsolete stock, and forecast accuracy. Maintain data accuracy in ERP and inventory systems, including product codes, classifications, and safety designations. Provide visibility to management on inventory value and data-driven recommendations for improvement. Cross-functional Collaboration Work closely with regional managers, warehouse leads, sales managers / agronomists, and distribution & logistics to align inventory with regional needs. Provide support during high-volume periods with real-time inventory monitoring and replenishment suggestions. Assist with the implementation and training of inventory procedures and systems across locations. **Qualifications:** Bachelors degree in Agribusiness, Supply Chain, Business, or related discipline is recommended. 2+ years of experience in inventory management or analysis within an agricultural retail or distribution environment is preferred. Strong understanding of agricultural inputs, including seed varieties, fertilizer types, and crop protection products. Familiarity with AWSA warehousing standards and compliance requirements for ag chemical storage and handling. Proficient in inventory systems and ERP platforms (e.g., Agvance, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics). Excel and data analysis skills. Results oriented with a strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally. Experience with regulatory agencies (e.g., CFIA, Health Canada, PMRA) and hazardous goods documentation.
