Activation Assistant Job Description The role of the Activation Assistant is to provide comprehensive support and assistance in the implementation of activation programs within a group setting as well as on an individual basis. This position involves conducting individual and group programs under the direction and delegation of the Activation Lead. The Activation Assistant will assist the Activation Lead with various day or weekend programs, including program setup and administrative duties. They will also implement one-to-one and group programs to meet the individual needs of patients, provide input on patient progress, and maintain regular contact with the Activation Lead. Responsibilities Include: Conducting individual and group programs under the direction of the Activation Lead. Assisting the Activation Lead with program setup, supplies, and administrative duties. Implementing one-to-one and group programs to meet individual patient needs. Providing input on patient progress and maintaining regular contact with the Activation Lead. Maintaining tidiness and safety of the department and equipment. Qualifications and Experience: A diploma or certificate in Activation/Recreation from a recognized institution is required. Experience working in a rehabilitation or complex continuing care hospital is preferred. Prior experience working with seniors is an asset. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills are necessary for this position. Culturally sensitive patient care and excellent attendance records are expected. Job Requirements: Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Windows Operating System is desired.
