Home Support Supervisor Job Opportunity Job Description: This challenging role is responsible for implementing effective management practices to promote professional and paraprofessional full scope of clinical practice, ensuring excellence in the delivery of care and service to clients. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with internal and external standards of practice and Provincial regulatory requirements. The Home Support Supervisor''s role involves identifying and coordinating clinical competencies and in-service activities to deliver high-quality client/patient and family-centered care. They will work closely with the team to promote a safe working environment and ensure adherence to quality standards. Lead or participate in quality and continuous improvement activities in line with the company''s Quality Management System. Implement and monitor quality management processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards. Clinical Expertise: The successful candidate must have strong clinical knowledge and experience in community nursing, including program development, implementation, and evaluation. Skillset: The ideal candidate will possess exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, and effectively lead a high-performing team. Education and Training: A Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) diploma from an accredited school of nursing and current registration with the provincial regulating body are essential. Work Environment: This role requires daily visits to client homes, minimal office hours, and daily travel. On-call rotations may be required. Required Skills and Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, RPN; Current registration, in good standing, with the provincial regulating body; Additional training and certification such as CNA certifications, Learning Essentials for Advanced Palliative Care (LEAP), deSouza and other specialty training would be an asset; At least five years of recent experience with progressive responsibilities in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in a community setting; Strong track record in leading the development and evaluation of training programs; Demonstrated ability to handle all aspects of human resources and interpret company policies and procedures; Experience in business development is considered an asset.
