At ALPA Equipment, were hiring Service Technicians to keep our fleet of cutting-edge forestry and construction equipment running strong. The Opportunity Under the supervision of the Service Manager , the Shop Mechanic / Field Technician will troubleshoot and repair forestry and construction equipment, working both in the company shop and at various locations or work sites. What Youll Do Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair forestry and construction equipment using electronic diagnostic tools and calibration devices. Test parts and systems to ensure proper functionality. Follow checklists to ensure all critical parts are examined. Test and lubricate the machines engine and other major components. Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes and tune-ups. Use testing equipment to verify that repairs and maintenance are effective. Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operational efficiency. Repair or replace worn parts. Disassemble and reassemble components. Make recommendations for future repairs or maintenance requirements. What Were Looking For High school diploma. Completion of or enrollment in a Journeyman Mechanic Certification program. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills. Computer literacy for service documentation and diagnostics. Millwright experience is an asset. Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills. Ability to manage shifting priorities and work independently. Willingness to travel as required.
