''> Key Responsibilities: ''> ''> Accountable for educating, mentoring and coaching new learners in using Ultrasound Guidance (USG) to place Peripheral Intravenous Catheters (PIVC) at local branches across Ontario. ''> Provide independent, high-quality care through educating and supporting nurses to use USG to insert PIVC. ''> Champion evidence-based practices for vascular access care and management, including the use of ultrasound guidance, to support high-quality care for patients requiring vascular access. ''> Adhere to the National Standards of Practice set out by the Infusion Nursing Society, the Association for Vascular Access, and the Canadian Vascular Access Association. ''> Follow policy and procedures for placing and managing vascular access devices (VADs). ''> Build Capacity and Knowledge Mobilization: ''> ''> Responsible for developing and delivering education outlined to support the implementation and use of ultrasound machines to place PIVC. ''> Current College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) registration in good standing. ''> 2 years of recent clinical experience, including proficiency in using ultrasound guidance to place peripheral intravenous catheters, midlines and peripherally inserted central catheters (PICC). ''> Certified with the Canadian Vascular Access Association or Infusion Nursing Society or The Association for Vascular Access is an asset. ''> Proven clinical experience in providing high-quality clinical care, strong assessment skills, critical thinking and problem-solving. ''> Proven experience leading and mentoring people delivering community care is an asset. ''> Ability to travel within Ontario to support the project by mentoring and coaching new learners.
