Job Description

Oncology Career Opportunity for Practitioners seeking a fulfilling position in patient care. We are seeking two Part-Time Hospitalist Associates to support in-patient oncology services at our hospital. Our dedicated oncology unit has 23 beds, providing comprehensive management of complications from malignancy or treatment, chemotherapy, and post-autologous stem cell transplantation care. Our team includes rotating medical professionals, nurse practitioners with expertise in managing complex patients, palliative care specialists, and access to radiation oncology. Backup subspecialist support is available when needed. Key qualifications include registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, a Fellowship in Internal Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or the College of Family Physicians, and excellent communication skills in English. Additional languages are considered an asset as we serve a diverse population. Our program sees over 3,000 new oncology consults annually, caring for patients at multiple locations. We see a wide variety of solid tumours and hematologic malignancies supported by 16 hematologists/oncologists.
